About the Artist
Award-winning quilter, Ann Seals, was born in Texas and raised in San Francisco, California. Always interested in arts and crafts, Seals started at a young age, sewing clothes, making kids costumes, creating greeting cards and flyers, and hosting craft parties. Quilting was the next step.
In 1999 she started making quilts out of various commercial fabrics. It wasnt long before she incorporated the use of African Fabrics in her patterns. She made he first scrappy quilt out of over 100 different African fabrics. That quilt was her first award-winning creation.
